Mutlu Ozdogan

Associate Professor of Environmental Studies and Forest and Wildlife Ecology, University of Wisconsin–Madison

Mutlu Ozdogan is an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, teaching courses in global agriculture, environmental change, and geospatial technologies. Ozdogan has over 15 years of experience applying observational and modeling tools to better understand the two-way relationship between the environment and farming, ranging from the tropics to arid lands of the planet. He has both deep and broad understanding of the global agricultural sector from sustainability issues, particularly from the perspective of water.

His recent projects include OpenET, which aims to develop open source modeling tools applied to satellite observations to estimate field-level agricultural water use worldwide.
