Darrin Madison

Darrin Madison has committed his life to bring about equity in society through a cultural and environmental lens. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Madison attended Howard University in 2015 majoring in Biology with a minor in Political Science. Upon returning to Milwaukee in 2017 he worked with the City of Milwaukee’s Environmental Collaboration Office through Public Allies Milwaukee launching their Eco-Neighborhoods Initiative, which encourages neighborhood residents to actively engage in ecologically friendly behaviors by supporting and incentivizing those efforts.

Today, Madison works with Youth Justice Milwaukee (YJM) to close youth prisons in the state of Wisconsin and create smaller community-based rehabilitation centers. He is also 1 of 5 fellows with the National Youth Alliance for Boys and Men of Color (NYABMOC), where he engages in high level philanthropy and a participatory grant-making process which funds on the ground efforts that impact boys and men of color all over the country.
