Jeff Mears is a member of the Oneida Nation and has nearly 25 years of experience working for Oneida. He currently serves as the Oneida Deputy Director of Environmental Health and Safety. Mears has a four-year degree in biological sciences and chemistry from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Jeff works with Wisconsin Tribes on the Wisconsin Tribal Environmental Managers committee, Tribes in the Midwest on the EPA Region 5 Tribal Operating Committee, and Tribes at the national level as co-chair of the EPA Tribal Science Council.
