Jonathan Patz, MD, MPH, is professor and John P. Holton Chair in Health and the Environment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also directs the Global Health Institute. Patz co-chaired the health expert panel of the first Congressionally mandated US National Assessment on Climate Change and served as a lead author for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – co-recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. He has written over 100 peer-reviewed papers and three co-edited textbooks on global environmental health. His TEDx talk (November, 2017) can be viewed on YouTube.
