Sharon Dunwoody has maintained an energizingly busy life as both a writing instructor and a social scientist.  A journalism and mass communication professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for more than 30 years, she has nurtured many science and environmental writers, on the one hand, and explored the construction and impact of those messages, on the other.  She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Aldo Leopold Foundation and co-chairs the Science Advisory Board of the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts.
