Zhou Zhang

Assistant Professor, Departments of Biological Systems Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Wisconsin–Madison

Zhou Zhang received her bachelor’s degree in astronautics engineering and master’s degree in instrumentation science and opto-electronics engineering from Beihang University, Beijing, China, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. She went on to earn a PhD in geomatics and civil engineering at Purdue University in 2017.

She is currently an assistant professor in biological systems engineering and electrical and computer engineering (affiliate) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests include satellite remote sensing, UAV-based imaging platform developments for precision agriculture, high-throughput image-based plant phenotyping, multi-source remote sensing data fusion, machine learning and its related applications to digital agriculture.
