Adena Rissman

Adena Rissman is a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of the Human Dimensions of Ecosystem Management in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her interdisciplinary research investigates the relationships between society and the environment in ecosystem management, conservation, and sustainable use.

She received her PhD from the University of California at Berkeley in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. She previously worked as a forest planner for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, a farm assistant, and a naturalist.
