Amy Cottrell

Wetland Ecologist, Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission

Amy Cottell recently joined the Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC) as the new wetland ecologist, where her work will center around stewardship, research, and protection of wild rice and migratory waterfowl. She most recently served as a project manager studying Atlantic sturgeon migration in South Carolina and as a fisheries biologist for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. She received her master’s degree in fisheries from Auburn University in Alabama and her bachelor’s degree in biology from UW-Green Bay.
