Lana Pollack

Former U.S. Section Chair, International Joint Commission

Lana Pollack, a Ludington, Michigan, native, served nine years as United States section chair of the International Joint Commission, a bi-national treaty organization that guides U.S. and Canada on their boundary water issues. An environmental leader, Pollack led the Michigan Environmental Council for 12 years and authored Michigan’s 1990 Polluter Pay law during her three terms as a senator in the Michigan Legislature. Her academic experience includes teaching at the University of Michigan, serving as a fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and co-directing a primary school in Lusaka, Zambia.
