Brenda Becette is an Argentine writer. She was born in Campana, the province of Buenos Aires, in 1976. She began writing in childhood and won several literary contests, such as the Buenos Aires Youth Tournaments. She settled in the city of Buenos Aires, where she graduated as a fashion designer at the University of Buenos Aires. At the same time, she maintained her literary activity and took various creative writing courses at the Borges Cultural Center and the Tomas Eloy Martinez Foundation.

With The Deep Part, her first book of stories, she won the Jose Emilio Pacheco City and Nature 2017 award from the FIL Guadalajara, which was published in 2018 by Editorial UDEG. She has just finished her second book of stories. Her hometown, on the banks of the Parana de las Palmas River, is the predominant landscape in her stories, which deal with the interaction of man and the wild, of dystopian futures after the depletion of natural resources, women who take their ominous presents into their hands, and childhood images distorted by adult reality.
