Caroline Gottschalk Druschke

Associate Professor of Composition and Rhetoric, Department of English, University of Wisconsin–Madison

Caroline Gottschalk Druschke, PhD, works at the intersection of watershed management, public engagement, and freshwater science. With training across the humanities and aquatic sciences, Druschke began her career collaborating with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship on a watershed-based agricultural conservation initiative.

After researching dam removals and wetland restoration projects in New England, she returned to the Midwest in 2017 with a focus on the Driftless, a place well-suited for her interdisciplinary and community-based approach to stream restoration, flooding, fisheries management, and land use.
